Do I need to know SQL or coding?

No. DashViz is designed for business operators, not data engineers. Everything works through clicks and natural-language questions.

How long does setup take?

Less than 10 minutes for the first dashboard. Upload a file or connect an available source, confirm the schema DashViz detected, and the dashboard generates automatically.

How does the free trial work?

Sign up and you get 14 days of Pro feature preview access with trial-sized usage caps. No credit card required. You can upload data, generate dashboards, and use AI chat. Workspace owners can choose Starter or Pro later from Subscription through Stripe-hosted Checkout.

What happens when my trial expires?

Normal app access pauses, but the workspace owner can still reach Subscription, choose a paid plan, and restore access after Stripe confirms activation.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There are no contracts or cancellation fees. Self-serve cancellation is handled through Subscription; paid access continues until the current billing period ends.

What data sources do you support?

Can I upload Excel files?

Yes. Both CSV and Excel (.xlsx) are supported on every plan including the free trial.

What's the row limit on each plan?

Free Trial: 25,000 rows. Starter: 1,000,000 rows. Pro: 5,000,000 rows. Enterprise limits are scoped with the customer.

How often does data refresh?

Connected native sources refresh on a daily schedule. CSV and Excel uploads can be re-uploaded any time, and DashViz handles incremental updates automatically.

Can I connect multiple sources of the same type?

Yes, when that connector is available on your plan. Multiple files or connector instances count toward the same data-source limit, and native SaaS integrations are included on Pro.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your account and data are preserved for 90 days after cancellation in case you decide to come back. After 90 days, the data is deleted.

How does the AI chat actually work?

You ask a question in plain English, and DashViz looks for the answer in your connected data. It can respond with a short explanation, chart, table, or metric card, so you can follow up without building a new report.

Does DashViz train AI models on my data?

No. Your business data is never used to train AI models. AI calls happen in real-time against the question you asked, and the data does not leave the request context.

Is my data secure?

DashViz uses reasonable safeguards for an online analytics product. Each customer's business account is kept separate, and DashViz is designed to answer questions without exposing another customer's information or changing your underlying records. No online service can promise perfect security.

Where is my data hosted?

DashViz uses Supabase Postgres for primary storage, Railway for backend application hosting, and Vercel for frontend delivery. Exact data-region claims are published only after the deployed provider regions are verified. Encryption at rest and in transit is provided by the platform, and tenant isolation uses per-customer schemas.

What's your uptime?

DashViz uses managed infrastructure providers including Vercel, Railway, and Supabase. DashViz does not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee or public status-page-backed availability commitment. Email support@dashviz.ai if you experience a service issue.

What if the AI gets something wrong?

Accepted Answer

AI answers are based on your connected data, but no AI is perfect. Always verify critical numbers against the source. We default to read-only queries, so AI cannot modify your data.
